Our Mission
Welcome to Beulah Baptist Church, located in historic Old Towne Alexandria, Virginia. Founded in 1863 by freed slaves, we are one of the oldest churches in the region. As our history demonstrates, we are a church quite literally built by faith. And that same faith has sustained us nearly 156 years later.
At Beulah, we say “Believe, Belong and Become.”
We believe that the word of God is true. We teach it, we preach it, we live it. We are a Bible-based congregation with an emphasis on developing and nurturing your personal ministry (we each have one) while applying it on a global scale (we are our brothers and sisters’ keepers…worldwide). Experience the word of God weekly at our Alexandria location. Our online experience will feature sermon snippets that inspire and feed you.
At Beulah, you belong to the church family, community, and body of Christ. We are a community of congregants who genuinely love and care for each other. We worship and fellowship together. We operate as a support system that addresses the whole member holistically i.e. socially, spiritually, emotionally, psychologically and economically.
We worship weekly at 10:30 am. Our online experience features articles and devotionals that connect you to the broader Christian community and our global community in Christ.
Through prayer, meditation and the aid of the Holy Spirit, you become the you God has planned for your life. We embrace the idea of becoming a new creature in Christ by practicing obedience and service. Browse our Ministries page and Calendar of Events. Join us and put your talents and gifts to work!
We are a multi-generational, family centric, energetic body of believers who welcome visitors in person and online. We are here for you, in person and online. Connect to our social media platforms, send us an email or drop by on Sundays.
